By choosing the right coloring nuance, you can have the trending lit brunette look without having to go through an intense discoloration process and preserving the health of the hair. To achieve light brown hair without bleaching, use a shade three shades above your natural color.

The big secret to achieving light brown hair without bleaching it is to choose a shade that is up to three tones above your natural color. Don't know what that means? We explain: the box dyes we use to dye our hair at home lighten natural hair - that is, without any artificial color - by up to three tones.

This means that if you have dark brown hair, which is represented by number 3 on the hair color chart, it is possible to achieve a shade starting with 6, which represents dark blonde, a shade that has a brownish base and is commonly confused with light brown.

Leaving the dark brown for a nuance whose base is dark blonde, it is now possible to achieve a very luminous look without going blonde. If your natural strands are light brown, the luminosity will be a little higher, but the base will remain brownish.

Nuances with golden and auburn highlights are perfect for subtly highlighting brown hair
