Natural home straightening is a recipe to help keep the strands aligned and super hydrated, as home straightening can also be used as a more intense and super-powerful moisturizer. It is always important to remember that, unlike "normal" straightening, home straightening does not change the structure of the strands, i.e.: it is not a permanent effect. A curious thing about natural straightening with cornstarch is that it is progressive, i.e. the more you do it, the smoother and more aligned your hair will be.

Whether straight, wavy, curly or kinky: every type of strand can use home straightening as an alternative to escape chemistry. But the recipe has a different effect on each hair texture: on straight strands, home straightening straightens the strands, reduces frizz and "touches up" the effect of the previous straightening. On wavy hair the effect is already a little less, but still maintains the wavy strands. For curly and frizzy hair, the effect of the cornstarch mask gives the sensation of "fading the strands", reducing the volume and leaving the curls more open.

Wash the strands thoroughly before straightening at home.

Since cornstarch straightening does not change the structure of the hair internally, the hair cuticles need to be a bit more exposed so that the recipe can penetrate the hair well. So, don't forget:

1st step: pre-wash the locks to prevent the hair from drying out;

2nd step: after thoroughly detangling the hair, wash the strands thoroughly with an anti-residue shampoo, or wash twice with the shampoo;

3rd step: with the hair still wet after rinsing out the shampoo, divide the hair into four parts in order to apply the mixture evenly;

Learn how to make a cornstarch mask for natural straightening:

1st step: add half a cup of milk and 4 tablespoons of cornstarch to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture over low heat for 3 minutes until it becomes very consistent, like cornstarch mush. The diva's tip is to add 2 tablespoons of sugar to give your locks more shine!

2nd step: set aside a pot to mix the ingredients;
