If you have curly hair, know that hair nutrition is a treatment that should never be missing from your hair routine! Because of the striking characteristics of this type of yarn, curly hair lacks more oils and nutrients than straight and wavy hair. Want to know more about it?

To help keep your hair beautiful and healthy, the stay diva gathered everything you need to know about nutrition for curly hair, from product tips to step-by-step instructions on how to do the treatment. Check it out!

Nutrition for curly hair: what is it and what is it for?

As you already know, curly hair tends to be more lacking in oils than less curly hair. But why? The answer is simple: the more curly the hair, the harder it is for natural oils to reach the ends of the hair. Because of this, the length and ends are more resected and drier than the root. This is where nutrition for curly hair comes in: through nutritious products, lipids (oils) and nutrients are returned to the strands, resulting in hair with less frizz, more aligned, with more movement and with natural shine.

The treatment is part of the capillary schedule, a hair care routine that has two more steps: hydration and reconstruction. Hydration returns water to the wires, fighting dryness and opacity, while reconstruction replaces proteins to repair damaged wires. If you haven't made a capillary schedule for curly hair yet, our recommendation is that you start putting yours together to keep your curls impeccable!

Coconut oil and avocado are great ingredients to make nourishment for curly hair.

The natural oiliness is returned to the threads thanks to the active ingredients present in the products. Therefore, it is very important that you, diva, carefully choose the ingredients to get the treatment right! To nourish curly hair, our suggestion is sweet coconut oil and avocado. These two ingredients are highly nourishing and moisturizing, providing deep nourishment to dry, porous hair. The result is curly hair shielded against dryness, shiny and soft without leaving a heavy look on the strands.

Which product to use to make hair nutrition for curly hair?

The ideal for capillary nutrition is to bet on a complete line that is specially formulated for the treatment. That is, you should look for a collection of products rich in oils to return the natural oils lost to curly hair.

The nutrition mask is responsible for deeply nourishing the hair, making it ideal for being part of this stage of the hair schedule. That doesn't mean the rest of the collection should be left out, see? The shampoo, conditioner, combing cream and silicone are very important to clean, smooth, protect the hair against free radicals and prevent split ends, all while providing hair nutrition on a daily basis.

Diva tip: if you still don't know which collection to invest in, our suggestion is the line Magic Nutrition, by Niely Gold! The line's shampoo, conditioner, mask, combing cream and silicone are rich in coconut and avocado oil, essential to deeply nourish dry strands and combat dryness and capillary porosity.

Step by step nutrition for curly hair

It's time to do hair nutrition on your curls, diva! The process follows the order of shampoo, mask, conditioner, combing cream and hair silicone. But it is worth paying extra attention to the treatment cream, which provides powerful nutrition to the hair. If you still don't know how to wear the mask the right way, let's help you! Check out the step-by-step on how to do nutrition for curly hair:

  • Step 1: with wet hair, apply the shampoo to the scalp, massage and rinse. Repeat the procedure if necessary;
  • Step 2: with damp hair, apply a portion of the mask to the length and ends of the hair. Remember to apply the right amount according to the volume and thickness of your curly hair so as not to overdo it or take less than necessary. Glue the locks with your hands, from top to bottom, so that the product penetrates correctly into the strands. Let the treatment cream act for the time indicated on the packaging and then rinse.
  • Step 3: seal the treatment with the conditioner, applying to the lengths and ends of damp hair and rinse thoroughly;
  • Step 4: apply the styling cream to damp hair to help detangle and protect hair from sun, wind and humidity. Just apply to the length and ends while separating the curls. Do not rinse.
  • Step 5: Finish with silicone along the length and ends to add shine and softness and you're done! It doesn't need rinsing.
