Follow a hair schedule before going from black to blonde

To avoid damaged, brittle and elastic hair after discoloration, it is important that it is healthy before the chemical treatment. For this, it is worth following a capillary schedule with hydration, nutrition and reconstruction steps for a month before discoloring the strands, especially if they are damaged or even if they are healthy.

Get to know the treatments and find out which one to prioritize in your hair schedule:

Hydration: the use of a capillary line that returns water and vitamins to the hair is essential to combat dryness and lack of shine in the strands, being indicated both for those with healthy hair and for dry hair. The tip is to hydrate once or twice a week.

Nutrition: this treatment returns oils and nutrients to the hair. Those with frizzy, curly or frizzy hair can prioritize nutrition to prepare their hair.

Reconstruction: it replaces proteins and mass to strengthen and give resistance to damaged hair, as well as to keep hair healthy. If you have porous and brittle hair, do the treatment once a week until your hair is back to health. In the case of healthy hair, rebuilding only once a month is enough to prepare the strands for discoloration.

The process for lightening naturally black and dyed hair is different.

Natural black hair is not bleached the same way as dyed black hair. As natural black hair has no artificial pigments, all you have to do is go through the bleaching process and apply a dye to get the desired shade.

On the other hand, those who have dyed black hair first need to go through the stripping procedure, which removes the dye pigments from the strands, and only then do the bleaching and coloring. Going through so many chemicals can damage your hair, that's why it's so important that it's healthy, diva!

Depending on the shade of blonde, it will take more sessions to lighten black hair.

As much as you want to go blonde in a single day, some factors can influence the result. It is possible to lighten 7 to 10 tones, but this depends on the choice of product, time of application of the bleaching mixture, the state of the threads and the desired tone.

To reach the dark blonde, it is necessary to discolor the strands less than to reach the platinum blonde. That's because dark blonde is only four tones lighter, while platinum blonde dyes usually start with number 12. That is, it is possible to reach dark blonde in just one session, but it may take two to three to reach lighter tones .

How to bleach black hair?

The recommendation is to bleach black hair with a professional hairdresser, as the procedure can cause stains and further damage the hair when not done the right way. But if you want to bleach your hair yourself at home, you can! You need to make a mixture of bleaching powder and 40-volume peroxide, which lightens up to 5 tones. After doing the strand test, assess whether the hair is still healthy and whether you have reached the blonde tone.

Step by step to bleach black hair:

1 step: In a bowl, mix the bleaching powder with hydrogen peroxide. To do the test, you can mix a small amount and wait for the time specified by the manufacturer;

2 step: if it passes the strand test, mix two measures of bleaching powder to one of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Stir until you reach a homogeneous consistency.

3 step: with the help of a brush, apply the mixture strand by strand, starting from the ends to the root. After applying it all over your hair, leave it on for a maximum of 30 minutes, checking the color every five minutes.

4 step: after the pause time, wash your hair with shampoo and cold water, without leaving residues of the mixture. Take the opportunity to hydrate the wires after washing.

Choose a hair dye that moisturizes and adds shine and softness.

After bleaching black hair, it's time to choose the shade of blonde and dye to change the color of the strands. As black hair underwent an aggressive procedure, it is worth investing in a dye that treats the highlights and has long-lasting pigmentation to reduce color retouching.

Cor&Ton's blonde dyes, such as Louro Escuro 6.0 and Louro Platinado 12.11, guarantee a bright and vibrant color while maintaining healthy hair. This is thanks to the FixaCor treatment sachets, which come inside the coloring box to hydrate, give shine and silkiness to the hair!

How to keep blonde hair healthy after bleaching?

Following a hair schedule and investing in products for chemical highlights are essential to keep blonde hair healthy! A good tip is to include Niely Gold's Powerful Post-Chemical line in the capillary reconstruction stage to give strength, shine and resistance to dyed blonde hair. The combination of argan oil and protein load is powerful to strengthen chemically treated locks, fighting dryness, breakage and providing shine to the threads!
