Copper Red 7.44 Cor&Ton

Coppery red is one of the favorite colors among red hair tones. It leaves a very natural look and is very popular, especially among brown hair owners. But a very common doubt when adopting this shade is whether it is necessary to discolor the strands to achieve the color.

After all, do brunettes need to lighten their hair to take on the auburn look? If you want to make the transformation at home, but don't know exactly what the step by step will be like, today Fica Diva will help you with this task. Come with us to find out how to color your locks without leaving home and achieve that modern and vibrant red hair tone!

Without discoloration, copper red looks darker on brunettes

As coppery red is four tones above dark brown and only two tones above light brown, you don't necessarily need to bleach your hair to bet on the color. In addition, this shade has a height of tone and a slightly brown background, meaning that intense bleaching is not necessary to carry out the transformation. That is, the revealing cream that comes in the coloring box is enough to open up some shades of your hair without having to discolor it.

But stay tuned, diva: this will influence the final color of your strands. In these cases, the final color will be a dark coppery red, a result that can be easily achieved at home and is perfect for brunettes who want to transition to red with a more understated look.

To adopt light coppery red tones, it is necessary to lighten the hair

Brunettes who want to achieve the brightest, brightest shades of coppery red need to lighten their hair a little, especially if their natural color is dark brown or black. This is because the revealing cream in the paint boxes only lightens three or four tones, making it impossible to achieve light coppery red tones in naturally dark hair.

For this reason, make the discoloration before dyeing the hair with the desired color to remove the brown pigments. By making the base lighter, you'll be able to achieve the light and vibrant coppery red with ease.

Natural blondes don't need to bleach their hair to achieve auburn red.

Those who have naturally blonde strands do not need to bleach their hair to achieve any shade of copper red. That's because light locks can be painted more easily to conquer darker colors or at the same height of tone.

If you're already a blonde and want to adopt red hair, we have good news: you can choose the copper tone you prefer and make the transformation at home. Just follow the instructions on the coloring box.

Which paint to use to achieve the coppery red?

Choosing a good red copper dye is essential to ensure healthy and luminous hair. If you want to achieve the color and still have well-groomed locks, our tip is to bet on the 7.44 Red Copper color by Cor&Ton. In addition to the colorant and oxidant, the box contains three sachets of FixaCor, a low pH treatment with D-Panthenol, keratin and UV filter to seal the cuticles and promote hydration, nutrition and protection for the locks after transformation.

The application step by step is very simple and, to make your job even easier, there is an explanatory leaflet with everything you need to know to dye your hair yourself. Check out:

Step 1: The first step to getting a coppery red at home is preparation. First of all, divide your hair into sections. Next, pour the contents of the coloring tube and the oxidant into a plastic container. Mix with the brush until the consistency is homogeneous;

Step 2: With the hair divided into locks, apply the mixture of dye and oxidant to the roots, lengths and ends. Do this throughout the hair, starting from the back of the neck towards the front;

Step 3: When you finish applying the dye, comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb. Then massage the length and root of the strands, distributing the color throughout the hair;

Step 4: Let it act for 40 minutes. After the pause time, rinse the hair well, with water only, without shampoo, until all the product has been removed.

Step 5: Apply the first sachet of FixaCor right after rinsing and let it act for 3 minutes. Afterwards, rinse again and do your usual finishing. Keep the remaining two sachets, as they must be used 15 and 30 days after transformation.

Diva tip: Pause time is necessary for the result of an at-home transformation, and this goes for all nuances, including copper red. Leaving it for less time than indicated can leave the hair stained and with insufficient coverage. But if you leave it longer than indicated, pigment overload can result, resulting in a darker color than intended. So always respect the break time recommended on the box, okay, diva?

Learn how to take care of coppery red hair

After learning how to make red hair coppery, nothing better than learning how to take care of the highlights with the new color, right? Whatever shade of copper red hair you choose, care must be taken with the strands to keep the color as beautiful and vibrant as if it had just been dyed. This means that you will have to adhere to a color maintenance treatment routine, preferably alternating hydration, nutrition and reconstruction in a capillary schedule.

Also, it's important to protect wires when using heat tools or exposing yourself to the sun. For this, bet on a leave-in with thermal protection and UV filter. If your coppery red hair still fades - which is common to happen after a few months - you can make a shine bath at home with toner and treatment mask.
