Box braids last longer on hair

Because they are loose, box braids receive less friction at bedtime and therefore last longer than nagô. Another factor that helps in the longer duration of braids is synthetic hair. When the hairstyle is done with kanekalon, jumbo, wool or thread, frizz takes longer to appear and maintenance can be done after three months. And that goes for the low braid as well. When they are done only with natural threads, they last about two weeks, but with extensions, they can last up to a month.
